Curried Chickpeas and Summer Vegetable Stew

GV comments:  This is a lovely curry and a good way to eat a lot of vegetables. Everything is cooked down--though not to a soggy state--and the result is a wonderful flavor and hearty dish. The combination of tomato sauce and coconut milk make for a smooth and alluring foundational flavor. This is a hit with my omnivore husband and the rest of my family.
