GV comments:  I’ve made this recipe many times over the years; it's my go-to split pea soup recipe. The little bit of vinegar adds a depth that’s delicious. This soup is healthy and very comforting. You can change up the vegetables once you're comfortable with the recipe. I predict you and your family won’t miss the ham.
